Collection and Facility Schedule for
Memorial Day Holiday 2024
HOUSTON – May 24, 2024: In observance of the City of Houston’s approved holiday schedule for Memorial Day, curbside collection services will be interrupted. SWMD storm debris collection efforts, already in progress, will continue through Memorial Day. Please note the changes to residential schedules listed below:
Monday, May 27, 2024 (Memorial Day)
CITY HOLIDAY: All storm debris operations will remain active. Additionally, all six Neighborhood Depositories will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. There will be no additional curbside collections and all other SWMD facilities will be closed.
Tuesday, May 28, 2024
Monday’s garbage, recycling, yard waste, and tree waste will be collected. All Solid Waste facilities will re-open.
Wednesday, May 29, 2024
Tuesday’s garbage, recycling, yard waste, and tree waste will be collected.
Thursday, May 30, 2024
Thursday’s garbage, recycling, yard waste, and Wednesday and Thursday’s tree waste will be collected.
Friday, May 31, 2024
All collections services will resume regular schedule.
