Solid Waste Management Department (SWMD)
Holiday Collection Schedule for Memorial Day,
Juneteenth, and Independence Day

Houston – In observance of the City of Houston’s approved holiday schedule, there will be no curbside collection services, and all Solid Waste Management (SWMD) facilities will be closed.

Services will resume the day following each holiday, and customers are urged to review the information below to ensure they are prepared for the holiday schedule.

  • Memorial Day- Monday, May 26, 2025
  • Juneteenth Day- Thursday, June 19, 2025
  • Independence Day - Friday, July 4, 2025
