2024 Parade Participants - Milby Marching Thunder Band

Under the leadership of Gregory Gatewood, the Milby Marching Thunder Band (MMTB) continued its rich tradition of being the Pride of the East Side. MMTB is comprised of students from grades 9-12 from Milby High School. MMTB, not only performed for school events and footballs games, but they also performed for the community like Dia De Los Muertos Parades, Galveston’s Mardi Gras, opened for 2024 College Football Playoffs National Championship Game Press Conference, and many more. The band also received many awards from competitions and University Interscholastic League (UIL) with Excellent and Superior ratings. In addition, The Milby Marching Thunder Band features the Sounds of Thunder Drumline, which won many drumline competitions, and rated high in percussion ensemble. Also, MMTB’s Color Guard, Divas Auxiliary, are Regional & National Award Winner title holders for 2022-2023 and 2023-2024.
