February 3, 2025 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 9901 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) about 5:10 a.m. on Saturday (February 1).

The victim is identified as Andres Verarodriguez, 17.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Patterson and Officer A. Thomas reported:

The male, a pedestrian, was walking in the main lanes near the above address when he was struck by a white Dodge Ram pickup truck traveling southbound. A driver of a black Maserati Levante traveling southbound also struck the pedestrian. The drivers of both vehicles stopped and remained at the scene.

Houston Fire Department responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased. Both drivers did not shows signs of intoxication and were questioned and released.

The investigation is continuing.
