March 19, 2024 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 12700 West Hardy Road service road about 3:05 a.m. on Saturday (March 16).  

The deceased male is identified as Armando Amezquita, 29.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Richards and Officer J. Trevino reported:  

The male was standing in the main lanes at the above address where there was no intersection or crosswalk.   He was then struck by a gray Toyota Tundra pickup truck that was traveling southbound on West Hardy.  The male was pronounced deceased by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics.

The driver of the Tundra remained at the scene and was determined not to be impaired.  He was questioned and released.  

No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
