August 26, 2024 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7100 Orville Street about 11:10 p.m. on Sunday (August 25).

The identity of the victim, 21, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Diaz and A. Hernandez reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call near the above address and found an unresponsive man lying in the street. He had been shot multiple times. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The suspect is described only as a black male.
