August 6, 2024 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 6001 East Mount Houston Road about 9:40 p.m. on Monday (August 5).

The identity of the victim, 20, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Meek and Detective A. Hernandez reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found the victim in the driver seat of a crashed vehicle. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.

Officers spoke to witnesses and learned the shooting occurred at 6300 Gaston. At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
