April 29, 2024 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 7915 De Priest Street about 3:45 a.m. today.

The identity of the deceased male, 49, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Lopez and Detective N. Sharp reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting in a convenience store parking lot at the above address. The victim had suffered a gunshot wound and Houston Fire Department Department paramedics transported him to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The unknown suspect fled the scene.
