September 5, 2023 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male and the wounding of another at 8657 Pitner Road about 7:50 p.m. on Monday (Sept. 4).

The identity of the deceased victim is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Detectives L. Brooks and C. Davidson reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address and found the deceased male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.

Officers found the second male victim, 31, at a different location suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive his injuries.

Investigators learned a suspect described only as an Hispanic male shot both victims and fled the scene in a black pickup truck.
