November 15, 2023 - Houston police are investigating the death of a female and apparent suicide of a male at 7607 Bankside Drive about 8 p.m. on Tuesday (November 14).  

The identities of the deceased female, 34, and male suspect, 54, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant N. Lazo and Detective M. Providence reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a welfare check call at a residence at the above address.  They had been advised by Houston Independent School District police officers that they had not picked up their child from school and had gone to the residence with no success.   

HPD officers entered the residence and found the female unresponsive and lying on the dining room floor.  She had suffered blunt force trauma and wounds to the neck.  A male was discovered unresponsive in the game room.  Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced both of them deceased.  

The child, who was unharmed, was referred to the custody of Harris County Child Protective Services 

The investigation is continuing.
