Suspect Charged, Wanted in Shooting at 14805 Grisby Road
May 4, 2023 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the shooting of a man and assault of a woman that occurred at 14805 Grisby Road about 3:30 a.m. on April 16.
The suspect, Elishrau Doster, 32, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 176th State District Court. A June 2019 booking photo of Doster, who is not in custody at this time, is attached to this news release.
The male victim, 24, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to an area hospital in critical condition, but is expected to survive. A female, 24, was assaulted and treated at the scene.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives M. Bellahna and A. Elias reported:
The male and female, along with a witness, got into an argument with a male suspect in a parking garage at the above address. As the suspect was leaving the area, he struck the female with his vehicle while in motion. The male and female, along with the witness, continued to the stairwell to go to their residence when the suspect walked to the stairwell and shot the the male victim several times. The suspect then fled the scene. The male victim was transported by private vehicle to the hospital. The woman suffered minor injuries.
Further investigation and witness statements identified Doster as the suspect in this case. The Harris County District Attorney's Office was contacted and he was subsequently charged for his role in the incident. Doster remains at-large.
