July 13, 2023 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 2600 Parker Road about 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday (July 12).

The identity of the deceased male, 31, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer N. Duval reported:

The male was operating a green and white Kawasaki dirt bike northbound on Shady Lane when he failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign and struck an unknown green and white dump truck traveling eastbound on Parker Road.

Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the male to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The driver of the dump truck left the scene and did not stop to render aid.
