July 3, 2023 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 8100 Broadway Street about 6:45 a.m. today (July 3).

The identity of the deceased male, 69, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Harris and Senior Police Officer R. Saenz reported:

The male was driving a gray GMC Terrain northbound at the above address when he left the roadway and struck a street light pole and then a utility pole.  Paramedics transported the male to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.  No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The investigation is continuing.
