July 3, 2023 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6500 Rampart Street about 4:40 p.m. last Friday (June 30).

The identity of the victim, believed to be in his 30s, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant N. Miyako, and Detectives R. Waterwall and K. Stringer reported:

Officers responded to a shooting call at the apartment complex at the above address and located the victim in the parking lot.  He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.  Paramedics pronounced the man deceased.

At this time, there is no known suspect description or motive in the shooting.
