December 12, 2023 - Houston police are asking for the public's assistance in locating two persons of interest wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a man found at 832 West Greens Road about 10:50 p.m. on November 12.

The persons of interest are identified as Josue Munguia, 21, and Alexis Ramos, 17. Photos of Munguia and Ramos are attached to this news release. Neither has been charged in the case at this time.

A male suspect, 16, has been arrested and referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on charges of murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in this incident. Juvenile suspect information is not releasable.

He is accused in the death of Jeffry Martinez Menjivar, 18.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives W. Huff and J. Nguyen reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a person down call at an apartment complex at the above address and found Mr. Menjivar unresponsive sitting in the driver's seat of a vehicle. He had suffered apparent multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the man to HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest where he was pronounced deceased.

Further investigation identified the juvenile as the suspect in this incident. He was arrested on November 28 and admitted to investigators his involvement in the incident. He was charged on November 29.

Investigators later identified Munguia and Ramos as persons of interest in this case.
