October 31, 2022 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 1100 West Loop South (West Interstate Highway 610 South) service road about 12:20 a.m. on Sunday (Oct. 30).

The identity of the deceased male, 28, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Le and Officer D. Thompson reported:

The male, a pedestrian, was in the roadway - not in a crosswalk - at the above address when he was struck by a gray Toyota Camry traveling southbound. Paramedics pronounced the male deceased.

The male driver, 26, was questioned, showed no signs of impairment and was released.

The investigation is continuing.
