October 31, 2022 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 2500 Joel Wheaton Road about 4:50 p.m. on Sunday (Oct. 30).

The identity of the victim, 19, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Gardner and D. Davis reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the above address and found the victim lying in the street. He had suffered a gunshot wound. Paramedics pronounced the man deceased.

Witnesses stated a fight between several females broke out when a suspect approached, pulled a pistol and fired shots into the crowd of people. The victim was struck, attempted to run and then collapsed.
