October 28, 2022 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash in the 2000 block of the North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) about 10:55 p.m. on Thursday (October 27).

The identity of the deceased male, 36, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer T. Smith reported:

The male was operating a red Ducati motorcycle at a high rate of speed northbound at the above address and struck the rear left side of a black F-150 Ford pickup truck. Paramedics arrived and pronounced the male deceased at the scene.

The female driver, 28, of the Ford called police, but did not remain on the scene. She returned to the scene and cooperated fully with investigators.

The investigation is continuing.
