October 3, 2022 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 8000 Fondren Road about 6:15 a.m. on Sunday (Oct. 2).

The identity of the victim, 33, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Lopez and Detective N. Sharp reported:

HPD patrol officers were dispatched to a call involving a deceased person at the above address. They arrived and discovered a man slumped over in the driver seat of his vehicle in a moving lane of traffic. He had suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased by paramedics.

There are no known witnesses or motive in the shooting at this time.
