November 15, 2022 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 215 Sunnyside Street about 4:50 p.m. on Monday (Nov. 14).

The identity of the victim, 19, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives D. Davis and B. Stephens reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the apartment complex at the above address and found the victim inside an apartment.  He had been shot and paramedics pronounced the man deceased.

A witness stated the victim was with a friend who was playing with a gun when the gun went off and struck the victim.  The friend (suspect) then fled the scene on foot.
