Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 2502 West Little York Road
March 17, 2022 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one juvenile male and the wounding of another at 2502 West Little York Road about 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday (March 16).
The identity of the deceased victim, 16, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The other male, 15, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives L. Patterson and R. Naughton reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at a convenience store at the above address and found a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
A second juvenile male (a suspect) also suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening wounds.
Investigators learned the victim was meeting with three suspects for a drug transaction when the suspects attempted to rob him. A physical altercation occurred and the victim and suspects began shooting at each other. The two uninjured suspects then fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
