June 27, 2022 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 1500 Genoa Red Bluff Road about 4 a.m. today.

The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rodriguez and Officer H. Nguyen reported:

The male, a pedestrian, was walking in the street at the above address - not in a crosswalk - when he was struck by a white Toyota Camry traveling eastbound. The driver immediately stopped. Paramedics arrived and pronounced the male deceased.

The male driver, 52, did not show signs of intoxication. He was questioned and released with no charges filed at this time.

The investigation is continuing.
