Update on Incident at 5402 Rosslyn
July 21, 2006 -- The identity
of a woman whose body was found at 5402 Rosslyn about 6 p.m. on
Wednesday (July 19) has been released by the Harris County Medical
Examiner's office.
The female, Lakita Stubblefield, 21, of 2717
Napoleon, suffered multiple stab wounds.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M.K. Peters and
Officer S. Straughter reported:
Children were playing at the above location while
the adult they were with was cleaning the area. One of the children
smelled what he or she believed to be a dead animal and then located
the body of the victim.
The female suffered several stab wounds to her
back, but it is unknown if she was killed at the location where
she was found. There are no known suspects in this case at this
time.
