January 05, 2022 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a woman and a man at 1300 Redford Street about 4:50 a.m. today (Jan. 5).

The victims, Marilyn Lee Lambert, 70, and Marcus Ray Hawkins, 51, were transported to area hospitals in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers A. Merino and C. Brown reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the apartment complex at the above address and learned that three unknown black male suspects knocked on the door of the victims' apartment.  When one of the victims asked who was at the door, at least one of the suspects fired multiple shots through the door.  Ms. Lambert and Mr. Hawkins were inside the apartment and were each struck one time.  Paramedics transported them to hospitals for treatment.

At this time, there is no known motive in the shooting.
