December 27, 2022 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 7000 South Gessner Drive about 2:40 a.m. last Friday (December 23).

The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Alejandro and Officer C. Brothers reported:

According to witnesses, the male was driving a gold Honda Accord northbound at the above address at a high rate of speed when he lost control and struck a tree in the median. Paramedics pronounced the driver deceased at the scene.

There were no other persons or vehicles involved in this crash.

The investigation is continuing.
