April 19, 2022 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 6200 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) about 11:30 p.m. on Monday (April 18).

The identity of the deceased female is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dunn and Officer T. Phillips reported:

The female, a pedestrian, was attempting to cross the northbound lanes of the freeway at the above address when she was struck by a grey Mitsubishi Outlander traveling in the main lanes. Paramedics pronounced the female deceased.

The male driver, 68, did not show signs of intoxication. He was questioned and released.

The investigation is continuing.
