Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Stabbing at 6533 Corbin Street
September 23, 2021 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a woman at 6533 Corbin Street about 9:25 a.m. on Wednesday (September 22).
The suspect, Oscar Garcia (H/m, 36), is charged with murder in the 176th State District Court. He is accused in the death of his grandmother, Flora Romero, 82, of the above address.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Duncan and Detective L. Lovelace reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a stabbing at the residence at the above address and found Ms. Romero with multiple stab wounds. Romero was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased.
Garcia was detained at the scene and subsequently charged for his role in his grandmother's death.
At this time, the department does not believe there is a continuous threat to the general public.
