September 02, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a female at 2800 Vollmer Road found about 6:55 a.m. today (September 2).

The identity of the female is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Sharp and E. May reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.  She was pronounced dead at the scene.  Nearby residents reported hearing gunfire at approximately 6:35 a.m., but no witnesses have been identified.

At this time there is no known suspect(s) or motive.
