Traffic Incident at Wallisville at Colvin

October 19, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at Wallisville at Colvin on October 18, 2006 at 9:10 p.m.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant R. A. Gonzales and Officers Y.K. Wood, A. Alaniz and J. Vega reported:

A van with an elderly couple inside was attempting to turn east on Wallisville from Colvin, when it was struck by a wrecker driver (traveling at a high rate of speed) westbound on Wallisville.

The elderly couple in the van was pronounced dead at the scene. The wrecker driver sustained non-fatal injuries and was transported to East Houston Regional Hospital.

The District Attorney's Fatality Accident Reconstruction Team was contacted and is assisting in the investigation. Charges are pending further investigation and blood test results on the wrecker driver.

Investigation into Shooting at 702 West Dallas Street

May 10, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man and the injuring of another at 702 West Dallas Street about 2:05 a.m. on Sunday (May 9).

The first victim, 24, suffered gunshot wounds to the abdomen.  The second victim, 28, suffered a cut to the head.

HPD Major Assaults & Family violence Division Detectives D. Crandall and L. Kauffman reported:

The victims got into an argument with unknown suspects outside a nightclub at the above address.  The argument turned into a fight during which one victim was shot and the other struck on the head with a pistol.  One of the victims returned fire before the suspects, described only as black males, fled the scene. At this time, it is unknown if either of the suspects was struck by the gunfire.
