June 24, 2021 - The fatal shooting of a male at 1928 Larchmont Road about 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday (June 23) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.  

Wesley Gobert, 45, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant S. Jimenez and Detective M. Perez reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a reported shooting at a residence at 1929 Larchmont Road.  Upon arrival, they found the correct address was 1928 Larchmont Road.  A male (Gobert) was discovered lying in the driveway and a female was inside the home.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported Gobert to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased from a gunshot wound.  

Further investigation determined Gobert and female got into a physical altercation inside the residence after the female stated she asked Gobert to leave.  Gobert left the residence, returned and threw the female to the ground.  As Gobert proceeded to leave, he returned toward the female.  At that time, the female stated she retrieved her firearm and shot him.
