June 21, 2021 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 6700 South Freeway (State Highway 288 South) about 3 a.m. on Saturday (June 19).

The identity of the female victim, 25, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Pham and Officer V. Nguyen reported:

According to a witness, the victim was driving a white Toyota Corolla at a high rate of speed northbound on the freeway at the above address when she lost control of the vehicle, which struck a wall and then rolled over.  Paramedics pronounced the driver deceased at the scene.

The investigation is continuing.
