June 21, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman and the wounding of a man at 233 Rosamond Street about 12:20 p.m. last Friday (June 18).

The deceased victim is identified as Lakeisha Cleveland, 33.  The adult male victim was transported to an area hospital and expected to survive his wound.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Roberts and Detective L. Lange reported:

Patrol officers arrived to an assault call at the apartment complex at the above address and learned that an altercation occurred within a group of people, which resulted in a woman and a man being shot.  Both Ms. Cleveland and the male victim were transported in a private vehicle to the hospital, where Cleveland was pronounced deceased.  The male was being treated for a gunshot wound to the arm.

At this time, there is no known suspect description.
