June 3, 2021 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 100 Edgebrook Drive that occurred about 9:20 p.m. on Wednesday (June 2).

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer J. Johnson reported:

The driver of a silver Chevrolet Impala was traveling westbound at the above address when a pedestrian (victim) stepped into the street from the median and was struck by the vehicle.  The victim, who was not in the crosswalk, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The male driver, 73, remained at the scene, was questioned and released.  He did not show signs of intoxication.

The investigation is continuing.
