January 12, 2021 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 6200 Dashwood Drive about 1:15 p.m. on Sunday (January 10).

The identity of the male victim, 63, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Clark and Officer M. Mares reported:

The victim, a pedestrian, was crossing the street at the above address, not in a crosswalk, when he was struck by a gray GMC Sierra pickup truck.  The male driver, who had just exited a private drive, remained at the scene and rendered aid to the victim.  He was questioned and released, with no charges filed.

The victim was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced deceased on Monday (January 11).

The investigation is continuing.
