Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 6822 Songbrook Drive
January 11, 2021 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a woman at 6822 Songbrook Drive about 2:15 p.m. on Sunday (January 10).
The suspect, Brian Marshall (b/m, 36), is charged with murder in the 230th State District Court. A booking photo of Marshall is attached to this news release.
The victim, Takela Marshall, 34, was pronounced deceased at Ben Taub General Hospital.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Lamont and L. Lange reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a reported shooting at a residence at the above address. Upon arrival, they found Ms. Marshall suffering from at least one gunshot wound. She was transported to the hospital by Houston Fire Department paramedics where she was pronounced deceased.
Ms. Marshall's husband, suspect Brian Marshall, was still at the scene and was detained by the arriving officers. He was subsequently arrested and charged in her death.
