Investigation into Shooting at 3600 Bombay Street
February 25, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man found at 3600 Bombay Street about 2 p.m. on Wednesday (Feb. 24).
The victim, Bomoni Gant, 22, was transported to an area hospital in serious condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer A. Merino reported:
A witness and a family member initially observed Mr. Gant lying on the street at the above address and believed he was using narcotics so they proceeded to go home. Some time later, the witness returned to the home and told his family that Gant was shot and that the witness helped Gant call 911. Officers arrived and observed Gant with gunshot wounds to his abdomen and leg. Paramedics transported him to a hospital to undergo surgery.
