About the Learning and Development Center

The Learning and Development Center (LDC) is currently located at the E.B. Cape Center, a two-story, 54,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility, featuring:

• 12 classrooms with seating capacities of 10-40 students
• An auditorium capable of seating 150 with fold-down desktops
• Instructor computers connected to HD projectors and the internet
• Confined space training area
• Three computer labs with a seating capacity for 9-40 students
• A fully equipped conference room that seats up to 16
• 170 parking spaces available on campus
• Welcoming lobby area and an open atrium
  
  

Directions

The LDC is centrally located at 4501 Leeland Street, Houston, Texas 77023 about two miles east of downtown and a half-mile north of I-45 South. From I-45 inbound, exit Lockwood — outbound, exit Cullen.

STOPPED BY A TRAIN? HERE IS A WAY AROUND IT. Traveling north on Cullen toward the train tracks, turn left on Coyle. Travel two blocks to Milby and turn right. Take Milby to Polk, and turn right on Polk. Take Polk to Lockwood and turn right. Take Lockwood to Leeland, and turn left. Take Leeland to the first signal light (Lockwood) and turn left. The Cape Center’s entrance is on the left.

Partnerships and Alliances

The Learning and Development Center has partnered with University of Houston, Texas Southern University and Houston Community College to provide access to high-quality educational programs for adults working for the City of Houston. To get more information vist Patnership and Alliances site.

Through a partnership with Sam Houston State University, the LDC offers the Certified Public Manager (CPM) Program.
