April 30, 2021 - The fatal shooting of a man at 7575 Plum Creek Drive about 11:15 p.m. on Thursday will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.

The deceased male is identified as Jekalon Williams, 19.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Lafour and A. Dudley reported:

Mr. Williams and another male, 26, got into an argument in the parking lot of the apartment complex at the above address.  The argument escalated when Williams pulled a gun and fired several shots at the male.  At that time, the male pulled his own gun and returned fire, striking Williams multiple times.  Paramedics pronounced Williams deceased at the scene.  The male was not injured.   

The male was questioned and released after investigators consulted with the Harris County District Attorney's Office.
