April 9, 2021 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 10500 West Sam Houston Parkway South service road (Beltway 8) about 11:20 p.m. on Thursday (April 8).

The identity of the female victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Pham and Officer T. Smith reported:

A witness stated the victim, a pedestrian, ran into the street from some bushes at the above address and was struck by a black Jaguar XF traveling northbound on the service road.  Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

The male driver, 23, was questioned and released with no charges at this time.   

The investigation is continuing.
