October 21, 2020 - Houston police are investigating a hit-and-run fatal crash at 9800 Northwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 290) service road after a male was found deceased about 4:15 a.m. today.

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer R. Bymaster reported:

The victim was found on the service road at the above address.  He suffered head trauma and evidence indicated he was struck by a vehicle.  Paramedics pronounced him deceased. 

Officers located various items on the overhead freeway exit ramp just above where the male was found.  It is believed the male might have jumped off the connector ramp and was then struck by a vehicle on the service road.
