October 5, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 3223 South Loop West (South Interstate Highway 610 West) about 7:35 p.m. on Sunday (October 4).  

The victim, William Hale, 26, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.  

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer C. Brannen reported:  

Mr. Hale was walking in the parking lot of a motel at the above address when an unknown suspect came out from behind a dumpster.  When Hale faced the suspect, the suspect fired multiple shots and Hale was struck.  Hale then ran to the motel's front desk for assistance.  The suspect fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.  Paramedics transported Hale to the hospital.
