November 19, 2020 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 3800 West Little York Road about 4:35 p.m. on Wednesday (November 18).  

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer C. Cisneros reported:  

The driver of a black Chevrolet pickup truck was making a right turn at the intersection of West Little York Road and the Eastex Freeway (North U.S. Highway 59) service road.  The victim, a bicyclist, was waiting at a crosswalk at the same intersection.  He attempted to cross the street as the pickup truck was turning and was struck.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the bicyclist to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  

The driver of the pickup truck, who remained at the scene, was determined not to be impaired and was questioned and released.  

The investigation is continuing.
