November 2, 2020 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 9238 Kempwood Drive about 7 p.m. last Friday (Oct. 30).

The identity of the male victim, 24, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Clark and Officer E. Morgado reported:

Witnesses stated the victim was operating a blue Suzuki JXR motorcycle at a high rate of speed while traveling eastbound on Kempwood Drive.  The motorcyclist failed to control his speed, clipped a curb and then crashed into a tree in the front yard of a residence at the above address.  Paramedics were called and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. 

The investigation is continuing.
