Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 6800 Gulf Freeway
March 16, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 6800 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) service road about 2 p.m. on Saturday (March 14).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives D. Crowder and A. Vinogradov reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to the above address and found the victim behind the driver's seat of a white Honda Accord. He had sustained a gunshot wound to the left side of his neck area. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported him to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
At this time, there are no known witnesses or suspects.
