Investigation into Shooting at 2708 Oakcliff Street
June 10, 2020 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in a shooting incident that occurred at 2708 Oakcliff Street about 1:35 a.m. today.
The suspect, Orrian Anders (b/m, 48), is charged with burglary of a habitation in the 262nd State District Court. A booking photo of Anders, who remains hospitalized, is not available at this time.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers V. Habukiha and A. Graff reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address and learned a woman, 30, was inside their apartment with her boyfriend, 23, when Anders broke in and assaulted the boyfriend.
Fearing for his life, the boyfriend discharged his weapon at Anders several times and he was struck. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported Anders to the hospita with non life-threatening wounds. He was subsequently charged for his role in the incident.
Further investigation determined Anders and the woman had been in a previous dating relationship.
