July 31, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a woman at 15603 Gulf Freeway (South Insterstate Highway 45) about 6:40 p.m. on Thursday (July 30).

The victim, Courtney Howard, 31, was transported to an area hospital with what is believed to be a non-life-threatening wound.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer S. De La Cruz reported:

Ms. Howard and her boyfriend were arguing over money when he produced a gun and shot her in the leg.  He then fled the scene.  Howard was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
