July 24, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the stabbing of a man at 8506 North Main Street about 7:40 p.m. on Thursday (July 23).

The victim, Donald Cornesh, 65, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers E. Bridges, L. Thornton and A. Huerta reported:

Mr. Cornesh and another male got into a verbal argument that led to a physical altercation at the above address.  At some point, the male stabbed Cornesh multiple times.  Paramedics were called and transported Cornesh to an area hospital.

The male was detained and questioned by investigators.  After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney's Office, the male was released pending further investigation.
