Investigation into Fatal Crash at 6100 Westpark Drive
February 9, 2020 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 6100 Westpark Drive about 5:30 a.m. on Sunday (February 9).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant S. Mannes and Officer D. Henley reported:
The victim was driving a black Ford Fusion and stopped at a red light at the above address. For unknown reasons, he then accelerated at a high rate of speed and struck the signal light pole. He was pronounced deceased while being transported to an area hospital.
The female passenger was also transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.
The investigation is continuing.
