December 14, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8400 Compton Street about 4:35 a.m. on Saturday (December 12).

The victim, George Galvan, 27, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Barrow and J. Caten reported:

Mr. Galvan and another male got into an argument at a house party at the above address.  Following the argument, the suspect shot Galvan and his brother, who was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.

The suspect, who fled the scene, has been identified and is cooperating with detectives. 

There are no charges in the incident at this time, pending further investigation.
