December 4, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8029 Winthrop Lane about 6:45 p.m. on Thursday (December 3).  

The victim, Ernesto Klunk, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Burrow and Detectives M. Estep and L Lange reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found Houston Fire Department paramedics had pronounced Mr. Klunk deceased from gunshot wounds.  

Further investigation indicated Klunk had walked outside his residence to meet an unknown person.  Witnesses reported hearing gunfire and found Klunk deceased in the driveway.  A red, four-door sedan was seen fleeing the scene immediately after the shooting.
